Don't Let Your Dreams Just Be Dreams...

1/15/15 - A day full of emotions... Excitement, anxiousness, nervousness and sadness (for me having to say “see you soon” to Justin, Cade and Taylen). In less than 6 hours, we will be picking up my sister, Nicole and heading to the airport to start our adventure. This morning, January 14, 2015, will forever go down as “one to remember” for Emilie. Finalizing her school tests, school work, and of course her sendoff from her friends and the school staff and all of those who have reached out to get in touch before leaving. In addition, I received a special phone call from her agency around 7:30AM that informed us that there will be additions to our traveling plans while in Paris. Once we get settled in Paris on Friday, I will be able to document new details on our upcoming weekend plans..stay tuned!

1/8/15
If you were to tell me 3 years ago that my daughter and I would be traveling to Paris for Couture Fashion Week interviews / castings in 2015, I would think you were crazy. The only extracurricular activities that my husband and I knew growing up were sports, until now!  Emilie was scouted at the age of 11 when we lived in Hawaii, when we moved back to the state of Washington we were referred and represented by an amazing agency in Seattle. Since getting her braces off, turning 15 (September 2014), and sprouting to the height of 5’11, the last six months have been so exciting for Emilie to say the least. Seven days from today we will be boarding a plane to Paris and will set foot on an adventure that my daughter has been longing for the past year.
I decided to write a blog regarding this adventure to document our experiences for our loving family members and friends who have supported Emilie through this whirlwind of a year. Not everyone including my husband and two other children are able to make every trip, therefore, this will be a great way to communicate to them as well as Emilie being able to reflect back on her journey of life and adventures.
To my family: I hope you enjoy reading our documented journey. Words cannot express how proud and honored I truly am of being a wife to the most supportive father and husband. Cade and Taylen, you both are such a huge part of this amazing experience and words cannot express how proud I am of both of you for your maturity, support and understanding while we are away for a bit knowing you are cheering on Emilie in her journey. XOXOXOXO I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! Mom
